YouTube Privacy Policy

This covers the Appealy Uploader, a small internal tool that uploads and schedules videos on Appealy’s own YouTube channel. The Appealy Discord bot, the dashboard and the rest of this website do not use YouTube; their privacy policy is here.
YouTube API Services
The Appealy Uploader uses the YouTube API Services. By using it, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s own handling of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Who uses it
Only Appealy’s channel owner, on Appealy’s own channel. It is not offered, sold or made available to anyone else, and before every upload it checks the signed-in channel and refuses to act on any other.
What it accesses
- The signed-in channel’s id and name, to confirm it is the Appealy channel.
- That channel’s playlists, to add new videos to the right series playlist.
- The videos it uploads, and their title, description, tags, category, audience setting and publish time, to check them against the upload schedule.
It does not access data about viewers, subscribers, comments or any other channel.
What it stores, and where
- The sign-in token, in the channel owner’s own computer keychain. It is never printed, uploaded or sent anywhere except to Google.
- A local list of uploaded videos (their YouTube ids and titles), so the same video is never uploaded twice.
Nothing from YouTube is stored on Appealy’s servers. No data is sold or shared with anyone, and no cookies or tracking are involved.
Revoking access
Access can be removed at any time from Google’s security settings page. Signing out of the Uploader also deletes the token from the keychain immediately.
Deletion
When access is revoked, the stored token stops working and is deleted within 7 days, along with the local list of uploaded videos if asked. To ask about or request deletion of anything the Uploader holds, email contact@creeperdiamonds.xyz.
Changes
If this policy changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
